Better Communities Project
We believe in teamwork and local solutions. We also believe that there's not much we can't achieve when we work together, guided by a purpose and strong values.
Local communities are vital to a healthy society and contribute greatly to the health and well-being of its citizens. Our vision of the future includes greater community participation and an improved sense of inclusion and belonging.

Our Better Communities Project is an initiative that helps co-ordinate, promote, and fund local project teams. We can assist with ideas that are intended to create positive change at a local level and that align with our purpose and values*.

*Men's School does not organise or control local projects, but works to encourage and facilitate them through our network.

Projects might include:
-
Local market days (for sales, barter, or swap)
-
Skills workshops (e.g. instructor-led sessions to learn skills such home maintenance, mechanical repair, carpentry, community gardening, outdoor survival skills)
-
Volunteering
-
Plans for affordable and communal housing, including strategies for sustainable lifestyles
-
Collaborative and group-funded 'community cornerstones' such as community gardens, local businesses, gyms, libraries, and meeting places.
