Volunteer

​Volunteering is a great way to get to know members in your local area. Our volunteers also have access to discounted annual memberships and products, so it's a pretty good deal!

The main activity for volunteers is creating and running local Schools. Specifically, it involves finding a suitable public venue to hold regular events (minimum one per month), welcoming and assisting new attendees, and ensuring events are conducted in a structured and supportive way. It requires good people skills, a personable manner, and the ability to lead and manage a group discussion. We provide strict guidelines and standards of behaviour for our volunteers to help make the experience enjoyable for everyone.

 

Because of the ongoing nature of a local group, we ask members interested in getting involved to consider whether they are able to commit the time and effort required to ensure its success.

We will send a form to collect some information relevant to the volunteering activities and assess suitability for particular roles.​​
